12. Message of the Gita: Chapter II, Verse 47
 “You have a right to perform your prescribed duty,
but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never
consider yourself the cause of the results of your
activities and never be attached to not doing your
duty.”
 This stanza implies that the performer of an action
has only to perform the prescribed duty and not
think about the result of the action, because the
result is beyond his control. This teaching of Gita
draws one's attention to Nishkama Karma.
