This document provides an overview of holistic treatment options for neck and back pain authored by Dr. Shriniwas Janardan Kashalikar. It discusses the concept of holistic health and total stress management. It then outlines remedies from Ayurveda, allopathy, exercises, diet, posture, utilities, morning ablutions, body movements, yoga, massage, and homeopathy that can help address neck and back pain. The most important healing principle, according to the author, is to practice daily remembrance of God in order to overcome pettiness and difficulties.

1) While equality has been an important ideal for governance, true governance of the universe is achieved through complementarity, not just equality.
2) Insisting only on superficial equality, like having similar food, clothes, and behaviors, stifles human growth and development. True equality allows for freedom and blossoming of each individual.
3) Namasmaran, or remembering the name of God, is a universal spiritual practice that helps reunify one's physiological self with their true self. It leads to the highest form of meditation and yoga by funneling all consciousness towards cosmic consciousness.

The document discusses the concept of Namasmaran, which is remembering the name of God, a guru, or holy figures through practices like chanting or silent remembrance. It states that Namasmaran helps to reconnect one's true self by focusing individual consciousness on a symbol of the cosmic consciousness. This leads to rising above worldly concerns and manifesting higher actions. While the benefits of Namasmaran cannot fully be described, it is presented as an ocean of bliss that can be experienced through consistent practice.
Diabetes can cause neuropathy or disturbances to the nervous system, which can lead to bizarre symptoms like giddiness. Giddiness experienced by diabetics can vary from minor to frightening. The complications of diabetes and misinformation about them can further disturb those affected. Repeating a mantra or name of God (Namasmarn) and drinking water to induce vomiting may help alleviate symptoms of giddiness in some cases. Long term, vitamins B, C and herbal supplements like chyavanprash may strengthen the nervous system. While feeling helpless is common, focusing on God's name through Namasmarn may help deal with difficult mental states that arise.

It provides instructions for different meditation techniques but warns that people are often selling and buying meditation for petty reasons like stress management. TSM involves understanding stress at its root causes and treating it holistically through intellectual efforts, whereas meditation focuses on temporary emotional relief. TSM also aims for social welfare in addition to individual welfare. The concepts of TSM are new and not accepted by existing traditions, resulting in its slower adoption.

It provides several measures to achieve healthy aging, including being physically fit and independent, free from disease, and useful to society. Specific measures recommended are remembering God's name to stay oriented and not feel lonely, bathing twice daily, eating green vegetables and sprouts, drinking cow milk with turmeric and ginger, accepting people's self-interests without complaining, practicing pranayama and yoga, and accepting each moment with focus on God to realize one's true immortal self beyond the body.
This document discusses the effects of stress on various aspects of individual life and society. Stress can negatively impact the mind by causing tension, anxiety, worry, and lack of confidence. It can also lead to physical issues like headaches, back pain, ulcers, and high blood pressure. On the social front, stress contributes to issues like wars, terrorism, crimes, and environmental destruction. However, the document maintains that through total stress management, one can understand and overcome these effects of stress individually and collectively to realize a dynamic, blissful life of "superliving."

The document discusses whether an individual or organization that does not participate in a political freedom movement led by another group can be considered antinational. It provides several examples of individuals who may not have participated in political freedom struggles, including artists, scientists, government workers, and those focused on other social reforms. It argues that after 62 years of independence, it is important to move past judgments of others' viewpoints and actions during the freedom struggle, and instead focus on a shared vision of prosperity and equality for all.
The document discusses "my problem", which is a struggle within individuals between what is, what should be, and what should have been. This restlessness stems from sensory input not matching feelings of wants, deficiencies, or demands. "My problem" is a global issue, as it is difficult to voluntarily blossom into being generous, loving, and benevolent. Forcing change through punishment or laws can't transform individuals or inspire selflessness. True change requires creating a globally beneficial environment conducive to blossoming. However, even this is not possible through individual effort alone given the sectarian and mean ambience. The only solution proposed is the universal practice of Namasmaran.
Holistic education aims to facilitate physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth through practices like namasmartan in order to promote well-being at the individual, group, national, and global levels. A piecemeal approach that focuses on petty pursuits under the guise of development has led to overproduction, excessive marketing, energy waste, pollution, and conditions that fuel terrorism. The lack of holistic education emphasizing an integrated approach is responsible for hype around value systems that promote these issues.

1. The document discusses holistic approaches to saving energy, including switching off electronics when not in use, using stairs instead of elevators, and walking instead of driving for short trips.
2. It also discusses the practice of "Namasmaran", which involves remembering the name of God, gurus, or other spiritual figures, as a way to reunify one's physiological and true spiritual selves.
3. Namasmaran is described as a meditation practice that allows one to realize their cosmic consciousness and rise above worldly concerns. Regular practice is recommended to understand its full benefits.
Internationalism should not be against the welfare of any nation, region, race, religion, culture, or individual. True global welfare does not compromise the welfare of any of its individual parts. Upheavals based on differences like caste, creed, race, language, region, religion, nation and culture often breed disruptive and violent behavior that undermines global civilization. Regular remembrance of God's name through practices like NAMASMARAN can help bring about a spiritual renaissance that leads to global harmony and unity.

As a result, his blood sugar levels lowered significantly with reduced medication, demonstrating the power of lifestyle and mindset changes for managing diabetes.
The document discusses whether humans are helplessly controlled by their hormones and neurotransmitters or if they can gain freedom from this influence. It questions if current laws and environments support emancipation from being controlled by bodily chemicals. The author suggests that it is worthwhile to review whether people are truly helpless prisoners of their body's hormones and neurotransmitters or if creating the right intellectual, political, and material conditions could help free people from this perceived helplessness.
Dr. Shriniwas Kashalikar discusses the benefits of daily head massage with coconut oil. He used to dislike oiling the head due to stickiness and stains, but now massages his head daily. Massaging the head provides exercise to arms and reduces dry palms. It can be done while watching TV to save time. After massage, a warm or cold bath is refreshing, especially with meditation. Based on his experience, Dr. Kashalikar believes traditional massage techniques deserve respect in mainstream medicine worldwide.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

Dental implants are the most common type of method for replacing the missing tooth. Unlike dentures or bridges, implants are surgically placed in the jawbone. In layman’s terms, a dental implant is similar to the natural root of the tooth. It offers a stable foundation for the artificial tooth giving it the look, feel, and function similar to the natural tooth.
5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT or Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that serves a range of roles in the human body. It is sometimes referred to as the happy chemical since it promotes overall well-being and happiness.
It is mostly found in the brain, intestines, and blood platelets.
5-HT is utilised to transport messages between nerve cells, is known to be involved in smooth muscle contraction, and adds to overall well-being and pleasure, among other benefits. 5-HT regulates the body's sleep-wake cycles and internal clock by acting as a precursor to melatonin.
It is hypothesised to regulate hunger, emotions, motor, cognitive, and autonomic processes.

BY
DR. SHRINIWAS

KASHALIKAR
2. INTRODUCTION
I had following and many questions in
my mind, about ailments and healing.
Would I like to keep ailing like many
others are?
Would I like to go from doctor to
doctor belonging to different systems
of medicine as others are?
Would I like to go through a vicious
chain or cycle of expensive
investigations and subsequent
admonition [without any guarantee of
health and happiness] as many of us
are forced to go through?
3. Would I like to spend exorbitant
money on treatment, as many have to
spend?
Would I like to be eternally dependent
on medical professionals belonging to
some or other particular system of
medicine or a healer of some kind or
other as many of us depending?
Would I like to live in the threatening
shadow of disease and death forever as
many others are living?
The answer was a big NO.
This was probably why; I, as a medical
student and later as a
medical professional; kept on working
on this issue and realized;
that all medical systems of are part of
one single PATH OF HEALING. In
4. fact in the course of time I realized
that all the fields
of knowledge and art, could contribute
to the health or disease of an
individual and society. This is the
concept of HOLISTIC
MEDICINE.
But what was the HOLISTIC
MEDICINE expected to do?
Was it to impart only physical health?
No. So-called health, which
is determined by and endorsed by
laboratory and other
investigations, considers only physical
well being. But physical
well-being is not at all a true indicator
of health. A person cannot be judged
in the same way as we judge a statue.
A person is judged by his or her
5. actions. The actions in turn spring
from one’s
instincts, emotions, thoughts and
perspective.
HOLISTIC HEALTH therefore is
nothing else but a process of acquiring
the perspective of global welfare,
policies and plans and commitment to
these and
coordinated and concerted efforts of
experts in that direction from different
walks of life! Holistic Medicine is
understanding and practicing the
wisdom in their respective fields, for
the well being of one and all is the key
to HOLISTIC HEALTH which I call
TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT

This small book is a humble effort in
that direction.

the use of the different

acceptable to some medical
practitioners.
3. It is also true that I do not have
clinical trials to quote;
