Detachment 842 at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is among the largest Air Force ROTC programs in the nation with over 250 cadets. It has won prestigious awards for its performance. The ROTC program offers both a 4-year program for undergraduate students and scholarships to help pay for students' education.
