Teachers and students have different perspectives on the use of technology like TICs (technological information and communication) in the classroom. While students find TICs really useful and see themselves as pioneers in their use, teachers feel they must take on more of a mediating role and ensure TICs are used appropriately and do not substitute traditional education. Some students acknowledge they sometimes play more than study when using TICs. Effective and responsible use of TICs in education requires balance.
