This patent application describes a vibrating tube mass flow meter that measures the density, mass flow rate, and viscosity of a fluid material. The vibrating tube mass flow meter induces vibrations in a tube vibration section at a resonance frequency using an exciter. A motion sensor detects the motion of the tube from the induced vibrations. A helical coil spring has opposing ends coupled to the tube with the tube positioned within the interior of the coil spring. Temperature sensors are coupled to the tube, spring, and external housing. A pressure sensor is also coupled to the tube. The device accurately calculates fluid properties using signals from the sensors and by processing them with an adaptive filter and viscosity integrator.
