Nevada The capitol of Nevada is Carson City There is 2,600,167 people in Nevada The official website of Nevada is  www.nv.gov   The largest city and most popular tourist attraction is Las Vegas which is probably the best place ever!
History Nevada was the 36th state to enter the United States They gained statehood in 1864. Gambling was common in Nevada until 1909 when it was outlawed. Then in March 19, 1931 it was relegalized and has now become the reason why they make so much money in Las Vegas The Hoover Dam was constructed in the years of 1932-1935. A lot of  people died!!!!!!! haha just kidding. The Nevada Nuclear Test Site was founded in 1951 and countinues to be used for the latest new weopanry and such.
Geography Nevada is in the western part of the U.S. Nevada is 109,826 sq. mi. Most of the northern region is in the Great Basin Desert The largest mountain range is Spring Mountain Range It is bordered by: Arizona, California, Idaho, Oregon, Utah   
Major Industries  Tourism- It is the main industry in Nevada. Most popular tourist site in Nevada is Las Vegas   Mining- Nevada has a lot of natural resources so this puts mining in the top 2 of most important industries in Nevada        
Climate Nevada has a desert and semiarid climate. The average annual rainfall is about 7 inches   During the summer the hottest day can get up to 115 degrees During the winter the coldest day can get to -10 degrees Simplified it is very sunny and dry in Nevada
Major Cities, Colleges and ect. Las Vegas- Largest city and most popular tourist attraction.   Henderson- Second largest city in Nevada. Has a population of 265,790.   Reno- Fourth largest city and has a population of 214,853.   Carson City- The state capitol and the ninth largest city in Nevada with a population of 58,350.   Major Colleges-UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas), UNR (University of Nevada, Reno), and Nevada State College

State Nickname The state nicknames for Nevada are:        "Silver State" Nevada is a well known producer of the metal; and silver has played an important part in state history.    "Battle-Born State" Nevada becoming a state during the Civil War.          "Sagebrush State" becuse this is one of the most common and well known plants in the state and also the state flower.    
State Motto The state motto for Nevada "All for our country". There is no history that shows why Nevada's state motto is this but when it was established it was when the Union needed another state for its support in the presidential election of 1864. It was also established days before the Battle of Gettysburg.
Tourist Attraction These are some attractions in Nevada  Goldwell Open Air Muesum  Truckee River Galleria At Sunset, Henderson Las Vegas- Is one of the best known tourist attractions in this country. People mainly go for the great casinos but they also go for shows, to site see and a lot more. Remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!  
State Flag The official flag was adopted on March 26, 1929. It has a yellow ribbon that says "Battle Born." A five-pointed silver star and the word Nevada is under it. These are surrounded by green sagebrush with yellow flowers.  Sagebrush is Nevada's state flower. The silver star represents the rich mineral wealth of Nevada. The words "Battle Born" on Nevada's flag allude to fact that Nevada bacame a state during the Civil War.
State Teams Nevada does not have any professional sports teams but has two colleges with Division I sports programs. They are the  UNLV Rebels  and the  University of Nevada Wolfpack  (Reno). However Las Vegas does host many great and exciting sporting events.
