He currently works as a school teacher at an alternative school, where he teaches a self-contained class and helps troubled students succeed. Previously, he served 20 years in the US Army, including a year in Iraq, where he led missions and managed vehicle fleets. He also has experience training new recruits as a drill sergeant.
