1. TELUS –SUBDIVISION PROCESS:

Role : Production
Description:
Land developer sends new Proposed Sub-Division drawings to TELUS’s Planning
and Engineering team. Data received from the developer can be in a variety of format,
including AutoCAD drawings (DWG), Microstation Drawing (DGN), JEPG, PDF .etc.
Data clean up – strip out and delete all unnecessary line work and text. And re-organized
the data into data layers according to our Sub-Division spec.
Data Re-projection and perform Least Square Fit. Typically the drawing from the
developer does not have a Spatial Projection. GeoAdmin staff will have to manually
perform a fit in AutoCAD to move the drawing into its true location. Using the Register
Land as a spatial reference
Once the drawing is cleaned up and re-projected and fitted correctly. The drawing is
added to the TP (Tentative Proposed) file.
The TP (Tentative Proposed) file is then loaded into Spatial Net.

2. Telstra:

Description:
The main objective of this project is offsite data maintenance. As part of this, it was
required to keep Telstra network up-to-date with the regular field updates in the small
world TPNI and Micro station GIS environment. The maintenance entailed Network Update
Advice (NUA), Switch Number Identification (SNI), National Plant Assignment &
Management System (NPAMS), Module Inventory Tracking System (MITS), CRAMER
(Logical Inventory) and miscellaneous projects
Responsibilities:
 Data maintenance of Telstra network
 Quality control as per the project specifications and checklist
 Adapting new process strategies to the regular data maintenance
 Amending changes DEVICES, SUBSCRIBERS, LINKS.
 location in CRAMER-LI (AMDOCS).
 Installing of New Modules like C_COR AMPLIFIER, LINE EXTENDERS and

This Project is executed in two steps: PIPER & CSS. Main tasks in this project involve capturing
of data regarding the Geo referenced maps given scaled duly entirely for capturing the Ducts.
Tran Medias & point features like Manhole, joint box, split coupling, DCV span term, PCP, DP
etc. Creating of appropriate symbology and creation of the attribute data for victimized
information using AutoCAD and micristation.
