Universal Design for Learning (UDL) aims to provide learning opportunities for all students by removing barriers in the classroom. UDL recommends considering how to represent information, allow for different ways students can act and express themselves, and engage students. Specifically, UDL guidelines suggest providing multiple means of representation, action and expression, and engagement by considering perception, language, physical action, expression, executive functions, interest, effort, and self-regulation.
