Motivated by the experiences of the preceding world wars, The Universal
Declaration was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 10
December 1948.
“The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is an international document that
states basic rights and fundamental freedoms to which all human beings are
entitled.”

3. Illegal Immigration
“America's exceptional status as a ‘nation of immigrants’ is being challenged
by globalization, which is making both migration and terrorism much easier.”
“More than 10 million undocumented aliens currently reside in the U.S., and
that population is growing by 700,000 per year. On one hand, the presence of
so many aliens is a powerful testament to the attractiveness of America. On
the other hand, it is a sign of how dangerously open our borders are.”

4. Based on the evidence we have gathered, most
of the illegal immigrants that are trying to get
into America have been mistreated by the
border patrol or some other form of American
system.
The border patrol has been known to cause the
immigrants more harm than is necessary.
Because of this the immigrants are building up
more of a resentment for the border patrol
officers than is needed.
The border patrol is never convicted of any crime
against immigrants, because of this they feel the
need to act more violently towards the illegal
immigrants.

5. Human Rights Violation
Luisa Gonzaga, a victim of immigrant abuse, was offered a
job of sorting onions and sweet potatoes for $6.75 an hour
by Juan Tercero, her uncle by marriage, after she had
followed her husband from Guatemala to Boston in 2003.
The only problem was Tercero. Being an undocumented
worker, Luisa had experienced sexual harassment, abuse
and threats to be given in to the police. At first it was only
the comments. It gradually came to cornering her and
forcing her to an empty room. People are entitled to their
privacy and safety, whichever country the may be in.

6. Human Rights Violation
Another away that the rights of the immigrants are violated is by coyotes. Coyotes are people who
help smuggle the immigrants across the border, but they always abuse the people they are
smuggling. The coyotes have been known to take people to the border, steal their money and just
leave them out in the desert. The coyotes are the worst people to the immigrants.

7. Human Rights Violation
After traveling thousands of miles to seek a better life, many children have been reportedly verbally,
physically and even sexually abused by U.S. Customs and Border Protections officials.
Detainees are forced to stand in stress positions. Others denied adequate food, water, and medical
treatment and held in dehumanizing conditions.

8. How we can stop the violence
We can help the illegal immigrants by cracking down on the violence
caused by the border patrol.
By putting laws on the border patrol against cruelty we can hopefully stop
the abuse and domestic violence that shouldn't have to happen. With laws
in place to help protect the immigrants and keep them safe the border
patrol will not act out as aggressively as before when confronting an illegal
immigrant.

1. In order to reduce the mistreatment of undocumented employees in the United States, we could
begin by placing secret inspector agents in different areas of interest.
On the occasion finding a scenario in which workers are mistreated, the agents should be
authorized to give a ‘ticket’ which will serve as a high penalty to warn other employers to treat
their workers equally.

2. There are senators and other congressmen that you can vote for based on your ideas of how
things should go. In less than five years, our age group will be able to vote. In this upcoming
presidential election, Marco Rubio, a Cuban US Senator for Florida, is said to be running for
president. Voting for such people will help settle this issue to a less harmful and more humane
solution.
