3. As we continue on in our study in Biblical Prophecy, we leave our review of Church
History outlined in Revelation chapters one through four. We now turn our attention
to our current times.
We saw how the church age of Laodicea would be marked by growing deeper and
deeper into apostasy. We will now look into how the rest of humanity is described and
characterized at and around the time of the soon return of Christ.
It is true, WE DO NOT KNOW THE DAY OR HOUR of His return. Yet, the Bible does
indeed provide great insights designed to show His children of light signs of the
times so that we will not be asleep in darkness, but rather sober and watchful.

4. THE KINGS OF THE EARTH SET
THEMSELVES, AND THE RULERS TAKE
COUNSEL TOGETHER, AGAINST THE
LORD, AND AGAINST HIS ANOINTED
Psalm chapter 2 is the key passage and this verse 2 is the
key verse to guide us in the next section of our study.

5. Points to Ponder
In step with our section one study, there are TWO distinct groups
God’s way vs Not God’s Way
God and His Anointed are one group
God and Jesus and those who choose to follow Him
The kings of the earth and their counselors are the other group
Those who choose to reject Him
We learn from verse 2 that the second group have ‘set themselves against’ the first group
OPPOSITION
The kings have conspired and colluded ‘together’ with a group of counselors to achieve their goal.
This is the multifaceted World System
Given the reality that most kings and kingdoms don’t always seem to be on the same page on most issues,
they are seen here to be UNITED.
Defiance toward the Creator is the Uniting factor
This attitude comes from Satan and the Spirit of
Antichrist
This was written thousands of years ago. It was true then! Do you think that it remains true today?

7. IN THE BEGINNING … OF IT ALL
• Man-kind's sin nature and acts so egregious that God came close to destroying all. Yet, his
mercy and grace saw hope in Noah. Gen. 6
• God started from scratch with Noah's family. Gen 7
• After the flood, God gave Noah (man-kind) the authority to govern. Gen. 9:4-6
• God instructed him to "be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth". Gen . 9:1
• All the families (Nations){Races} of the earth spring from ONE – Noah and his three sons.

8. TOWER OF BABEL
• Babel became the center of man-kinds rebellion against God
• It is said to be the beginning city for man-made religion. All pagan religion
can be traced back to Babel.
• Nimrod, the first leader of the city. Therefore, He can be seen as the head of
both the political and religious rebellion against God.
• At Babel, instead of obeying God to replenish the earth, they stayed
together and UNITED as ONE with the desire to RESIST God. Gen.11:1-9

9. WHO IS BEHIND THE POWERS THAT BE?
• Ezekiel gives us great insight Chapter 28
• God established government . It is His Idea. He wants it run HIS Way! Rom. 13:1-7
• Yet, as He allows for man to exercise FREE WILL.
• The King of Tyre revealed in this passage gives us insight into the world system.
Man's rebellion and the influence of the spirit of Satan.
• Verses 1 through 10, clearly describe a human king of Tyre.
• Verses 11 through 19, reveals that Satan was the spirit behind the scene.

Since the time of Christ, we have been in the interval time period before the time of Anti-Christ.
While Israel is on hold, and during this age of Grace / Age of the Gentile, many nations have arisen
and falling. All have operated in this system.
This is the Challenge. In the world the God Created and that Satan has corrupted, people, leaders,
and nations must determine who to follow. Some follow God. Some follow Satan.
Some Nations have fully embraced the work of Anti-Christ. Most unknowingly follow. Some struggle
between doing God’s will or Satan’s schemes and deceptions.
IT is up to us to DISCERN

for MAN-KIND
The Enemy of God, Satan, is in competition with God. He
OPPOSES God at every turn and in every issue. He does so
directly and indirectly. He uses deceit. He imitates. He
employs fear. He has the Spirit of the Antichrist here on
earth to accomplish his goals!
For man, we MUST DISCERN if the Spirit behind our
choices come from GOD or from Satan (Spirit of Antichrist)!

34. KEY FEATURES OF THE ANTICHRIST
REIGN
• Revelation chapter 13 gives us a peek at this future system
• The Beast will come out of the Sea and will have seven heads and 10 horns
• He will be given power from the DRAGON and will blaspheme God
• He will make war against the Saints of God / non believer’s will worship
him
• He will command the all worship him and those who refuse will not be able
to BUY or SELL without his MARK.
• To accomplish this the system MUST have: GLOBAL FINANCE. GLOBAL
COMMUNICATION and SURVEILLANCE. GLOBAL GOVERNMENT.

35. To get to that point in world history, the current world system will plant the seeds
and lay the groundwork !
We can therefore look at today’s headlines, newsfeeds, and world developments
and see the things that will make all of the Revelation chapter 13 possible.
Gaining and maintaining controls over government, media, the legal system,
banking, corporations has been going on for decades but is now picking up steam
at an alarming rate.
Controlling people in communist and socialist nations is the norm. This has been
against the nature and make –up of Americans. Unfortunately, many have willfully
given over their freedoms and rights. Some will fight and resist to remain free. The
outcome of the 2020 election is that divide separating those who unwittingly
choice to be SUBJECTS and those who hold on and see themselves as FREE
CITIZENS!

36. Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world,
the love of the father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the desires
of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not from the
Father but from the world. The world is passing away, along with its
desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever.
