This study examined the relationship between BMI, education level, income, knowledge of and usage of the 2005 MyPyramid food guidance system among US women aged 25-45. The study found that college-educated and middle-income women had the highest knowledge of MyPyramid, while obese and low-income women were most likely to have tried MyPyramid. Education level and income appeared to influence knowledge of MyPyramid, while BMI and income influenced its usage. However, more research is needed to determine if these factors consistently impact knowledge and use of food guidance systems.
