This document announces a networking event titled "China, just around the corner" being held on June 8th 2012 in Roden, Netherlands. The event is organized by SpringBoard and the China-Europe Growth Foundation to inspire and inform participants about business opportunities in China. The program includes a presentation on "Doing business with the Chinese" by Annie Zheng Yi, as well as presentations from Chinese students and a success story from Advanced Medical Optics employing a Chinese student. A meet-and-greet session with Chinese students will follow. The goal is to explore China's growing medical market and immense aging population for Dutch medical companies.

2. De medische sector is één van de economische
topsectoren waarin Nederland een sterke
internationale positie heeft. De markt in China
is erg van belang voor Nederlandse bedrijven in
deze sector.
Denk aan de immense groei van de ouder wor-
dende populatie in China. (aantal mensen van 60
jaar en ouder in 2009: 170 miljoen, in 2020: 250
miljoen).
Om deze reden heeft SpringBoard samen met de
China-Europe Growth Foundation deze netwerk-
bijeenkomst georganiseerd.
De bedoeling van de netwerkbijeenkomst is de
deelnemers te inspireren en informeren over de
mogelijkheden om met China zaken te doen.
Spring-Board 2.0 wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt doorde Europese Unie - Europees Fonds voor Regionale Ontwikkeling, Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland en door het Ministerie van ELI.

3. Programma:
“Doing business with the Chinese” by Annie Zheng Yi
Annie Zheng Yi is the chair of the China-Europe Growth Foundation and owner/director
of PMC Connect and MING-Translations. Annie Yi Zheng was born and raised in China.
After her economics study at the famous Beijing University she gained over 15 years
of business experience at senior level in both China and Europe working for multi-
national companies such as Unilever (China), Sara Lee| DE (Europe). She has gained
rich experiences in managing the differences between East and West and it is her pas-
sion to successfully bring Dutch enterprises to the Chinese market by using her pro-
fessional knowledge and experience in bridging the culture and business differences.

Growth Foundation to give you an insight into the lives of talented Chinese students and graduates
