• Introduction / PHEA Group IV.
• “Access to Internet services is no longer limited
to laptop computers”
• Some of the services that may be accessed from
mobile devices are the ones provided by LMS
and CMS
• Integrating Mobile LMS
• State of the art and related work
- The Moodle for Mobiles project (MFM)
by professor Don Hinckelman
- Mobile Learning Engine (MLE)
developed under proprietary license
• Glocalisation of MOODLE Software for mobile
LMS
• focus on learning objects
• scaling down of images
• separate CSS styles
• configure MOODLE blocks ( message pad, course
glossary, school calendar etc) into a quick access
folder
• SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Let us remark that the information that the server
supplies to Mobile Viewers is the very same that
would appear in the Desktop View.
- Mobile View could be useful to access specific
information and to do learning activities that do not
require large amounts of data entries from the
mobile device
- Basic view is for editing… glocalisation of MOODLE
is an effect for student use. Direct course building via
the mobile view will therefore be almost impossible.
• CONCLUSIONS AND FURTHER WORK
This project delivers an operational integrated web-
based audio library and online mobile-learning
environment.
The adoption of the platform into classroom use is
anticipated on Technology Integration Programme
Model.
The web is not enough
It is certain that this will lead to a whole field of
experimentation and research on real classrooms,
considering that there already exists a wide base of
enabled terminals.
