This document outlines the syllabus for an Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics course taught by Dianna Mae A. Sinsano. The course will meet Monday through Friday for 4 hours per week. Week 1 will cover key observations about understanding culture, society, and politics. Students will complete a knowledge and matching activity and critical thinking questions. Their assignment is a reflection paper on the hidden rules observed in their barangay or municipality. Week 2 will discuss sociology, anthropology, and political science, with an assignment to write an open letter to a congressman. Week 3 will address the interpretive dynamics of society with a knowledge and observation exercise. A review and first semi-quarterly exam are scheduled for Week 4.
