During the 2013-2014 academic year, University Career Services set out with a vision and strategy of becoming "customized
connectors". We brought students, employers, alumni, and campus partners together to connect and collaborate in an environment
where trust and influence led to opportunity and success. This is where University Career Services, as the experts, facilitated a
meaningful exchange of information, a breeding ground for ideas and innovation, and a world full of opportunities for Mason
students. Our strategy proved successful. With a staff dedicated to building, enhancing, and strengthening relationships with
stakeholders, we successfully reached more students and had a substantial impact on student success. As we continue to strive for a
network that spans the country, we are building a new model for career education and hope to expand our staff to one day form a
seamless, close-knit circle where no student is more than two degrees away from their dream employer. This hub of connectivity
and opportunity is often how people define the future of Career Services. And for Mason, that time is now.
