The marketing plan aims to increase participation in CMU's Up All Night (UAN) event by 20% using various promotion tactics. These include posters around campus, social media promotion through Facebook and Twitter, ads in the student newspaper, press releases, announcements to student groups and in classrooms, banners, and table promotions with games. The timeline details creating promotional materials in January/February and implementing the various outreach tactics throughout February and March leading up to the March 19th event.

community).

Posters- Posters will be distrubted throughout the residence halls, UC, library,EHS, etc. to promote
UAN. (must go by poster sheet guideline and size chart). Work with MGX ASAP to get these printed.
Social Media – Tweeting out from the SAI twitter and facebook page about UAN. Giving incentives
for students to come to UAN. Maybea twitter contest??
CM Life Ads – Place advertisements in CM Life to get the word out to students about UAN. Start an
ad the first week of March and include a coupon/trivia question for a student to win a prize.
Press Release to CM-Life – A press release will be sent to CM-Life in order to get press coverage
to the event. This press releasewill describethe event and hopefully inspire CM-Life to write about our
event before and after.
Student News- Send in announcments with the student news to let people know that UAN will be
coming soon. Also includea section for volunteer information.
Table Tents- Table tent desgins made to promote UAN in all ofthe dining halls on campus. Just a ½
page ad will be placed.
Promotion through tables, fast passes, banners, website, announcements (RHA, classes, hall
councils).
Fast Passes – Fast passes will be used to allow one person and a friend to skip a line one time. These
fast passes will be given away on oursocial media accounts (have 50-75 passes to giveaway to students).

UC Banner- If a banner is not already made then request MGX makes a banner to hang outside the
