Digital marketing can be broadly
broken into 8 main categories
including: Search Engine
Optimization, Pay-per-Click, Social
Media Marketing, Content
Marketing, Email Marketing,
Mobile Marketing, Marketing
Analytics and Affiliate Marketing .
SEO means Search Engine
Optimization and is the process
used to optimize a website's
technical configuration, content
relevance and link popularity so
its pages can become easily
findable, more relevant and
popular towards user search
queries, and as a consequence,
search engines rank them better.
Social media
marketing (SMM) is
a form of internet
marketing that
uses social media
apps as a
marketing tool.
PPC or pay-per-click is a type of
internet marketing which involves
advertisers paying a fee each time
one of their ads is clicked. Simply,
you only pay for advertising if your
ad is actually clicked on. It's
essentially a method of 'buying'
visits to your site, in addition to
driving website visits organically.
