The Young Explorers' Institute for Social Service was established in 1991 in Kolkata, India. It is registered under the West Bengal Societies Act of 1961. The organization has participated in several environmental and disaster relief programs over the years, including a river expedition on the Ganga in 1996 and India's first disaster congress in 2006. It has also provided wall climbing training to youth and donated books to schools across West Bengal, with a goal of presenting to over 150 schools total.
