Hypertable is an open source, horizontally scalable database modeled after Google's Bigtable. It uses a Thrift interface to support multiple programming languages and is designed for high performance through its C++ implementation. While it currently lacks joins and transactions, Hypertable has been deployed in several live systems since its creation in 2007.
