The Tsachila are an indigenous group living in Santo Domingo de Tsachilas Province in Ecuador. They speak the Tsafiqui language, which is part of the Chibcha linguistic family and means "true word." The clothing of Tsachila women consists of a simple skirt and cloth carried over the neck and back, with bead bracelets as ornamentation. Tsachila men wear a simple two-colored loincloth called a palompoe and mapchozmp.
