Paste images of all 3 sculptures into a Word document, and include details about each work: the title of each sculpture, the artist (if known), the year made, the materials used, and the size of the work. The second portion of this assignment is the rhetorical analysis, which should be at least 400-500 words in length. In the rhetorical analysis, you will explain how you used the five features to make the same exact place seem so very positive in one paragraph and yet so negative in the second paragraph.
The second portion of this assignment is a two step process.
1.) Review your two paragraphs noting each of the places you used any of the tools in the Writer's Toolbox. Try to find at least two examples of each of the tools from the Writer's Toolbox employed in each descriptions (except for tell sentences and direct statements of meaning, which you should have limited to only one per paragraph). If you can’t find two examples of the other features in each of your descriptions, you’ll probably want to revise your initial description, adding more of those features.
2.) Write your rhetorical analysis, devoting at least one paragraph to each of the tools in the Writer's Toolbox. You will probably want to begin each paragraph of the rhetorical analysis with a general claim. “I used a great deal of word choice in each of my two descriptions.” Then you’ll want to follow that claim with examples. “For instance, in my positive paragraph, I described the sun as “gleaming,” which implies that the light was pleasantly bright. However, in my negative paragraph, I described the sun as “glaring,” implying that the light was too bright, and in fact painful to look at.”

Rhetorical Analysis
I chose Pillsbury Crossing for my descriptions in this paper. I enjoyed writing about Pillsbury Crossing because it seemed to offer many positive and negatives, and I had never been there before. This allowed me to record my own first impressions, both pleasant and unpleasant. The floodplain is very peaceful, yet it is scarred by humankind’s misuse of the nature park.
I wrote my first sentence as an overt statement which explained the mood of the rest of the paragraph. For my pleasant impression, I stated “Nature’s beauty surrounds me,” emphasizing the beauty on can find in a place such as this. In contrast, for my negative impression, I wrote “Death has had her way here.” The notion of death immediately makes the tone grim and unpleasant, even though death is also a fundamental aspect of the natural world.
With my tone clearly established, I next had to consider my word choice very carefully. In order to show the reader what I experienced, I had to choose words that fit the mood of the description as set by my overt statements of meaning. In my pleasant description, I discuss the sun’s rays and how they are “crisp” and “relieving.” These words make the sun’s rays seem pleasant and positive; however, in the negative description, th.

In court Vinson testified that about a year after she began working at the bank, Taylor asked her to have sexual rela- tions with him. She claimed that Taylor said she “owed” him because he had obtained the job for her. Although she turned down Taylor at first, she eventually became involved
with him. She and Taylor engaged in sexual relations, she said, both during and after business hours, in the remaining three years she worked at the bank. The encounters included intercourse in a bank vault and in a storage area in the bank basement. Vinson also testified that Taylor often actually “assaulted or raped” her. She contended that she was forced to submit to Taylor or jeopardize her employment.
Taylor, for his part, denied the allegations. He testified that he had never had sex with Vinson. On the contrary, he alleged that Vinson had made advances toward him and that he had

declined them. He contended that Vinson had brought the charges against him to “get even” because of a work-related dispute.
In its ruling on the case, the court held that if Vinson and Taylor had engaged in a sexual relationship, that relationship was voluntary on the part of Vinson and was not employment related. The court also held that Capital City Federal Savings and Loan did not have “notice” of the alleged harassment and was therefore not liable. Although Taylor was Vinson’s super- visor, the court reasoned that notice to him was not notice to the bank.
Vinson appealed the case, and the Court of Appeals held that the district court had erred in three ways. First, the dis- trict court had overlooked the fact that there are two possi- ble kinds of sexual harassment. Writing for the majority, Chief Judge Spottswood Robinson distinguished cases in which the victim’s continued employment or promotion is
conditioned on giving in to sexual demands and those cases in which the victim must tolerate a “substantially discrimi- natory work environment.” The lower court had failed to consider whether Vinson’s case involved harassment of the second kind.

The second portion of this assignment is the rhetorical analysis, which should be at least 400-500 words in length. In the rhetorical analysis, you will explain how you used the five features to make the same exact place seem so very positive in one paragraph and yet so negative in the second paragraph.
The second portion of this assignment is a two step process.
1.) Review your two paragraphs noting each of the places you used any of the tools in the Writer's Toolbox. Try to find at least two examples of each of the tools from the Writer's Toolbox employed in each descriptions (except for tell sentences and direct statements of meaning, which you should have limited to only one per paragraph). If you can’t find two examples of the other features in each of your descriptions, you’ll probably want to revise your initial description, adding more of those features.
2.) Write your rhetorical analysis, devoting at least one paragraph to each of the tools in the Writer's Toolbox. You will probably want to begin each paragraph of the rhetorical analysis with a general claim. “I used a great deal of word choice in each of my two descriptions.” Then you’ll want to follow that claim with examples. “For instance, in my positive paragraph, I described the sun as “gleaming,” which implies that the light was pleasantly bright. However, in my negative paragraph, I described the sun as “glaring,” implying that the light was too bright, and in fact painful to look at.”

Rhetorical Analysis
I chose Pillsbury Crossing for my descriptions in this paper. I enjoyed writing about Pillsbury Crossing because it seemed to offer many positive and negatives, and I had never been there before. This allowed me to record my own first impressions, both pleasant and unpleasant. The floodplain is very peaceful, yet it is scarred by humankind’s misuse of the nature park.
I wrote my first sentence as an overt statement which explained the mood of the rest of the paragraph. For my pleasant impression, I stated “Nature’s beauty surrounds me,” emphasizing the beauty on can find in a place such as this. In contrast, for my negative impression, I wrote “Death has had her way here.” The notion of death immediately makes the tone grim and unpleasant, even though death is also a fundamental aspect of the natural world.
With my tone clearly established, I next had to consider my word choice very carefully. In order to show the reader what I experienced, I had to choose words that fit the mood of the description as set by my overt statements of meaning. In my pleasant description, I discuss the sun’s rays and how they are “crisp” and “relieving.” These words make the sun’s rays seem pleasant and positive; however, in the negative description, th.

Tiny Town passes a law making it a crime to criticize the mayor. Tom objects that the law violates his right to freedom of speech under the U.S. Constitution. Tom sues Tiny Town. Later, Carl became upset that the contract wasn’t being properly upheld. Whom may Carl hold responsible for any breach in the contract? Why? Larry makes lewd comments about Nicole, his employee, that

Sally later realizes what has happened and seeks to get out of the contract. What defense should she make against enforcing the contract? Terrence, an adult, enters into a contract with Bobby, a 16-year- old. Before either party changes position, Bobby’s parents find out and tell Terrence the deal is off. Can Terrence enforce the contract Shannon is 27 years old and has lived in a mental institution since she was 18 years old. Fred visits her one afternoon and tells her that, because she has had such a difficult life, he will give her $10,000. Shannon says she accepts Fred’s offer. Fred doesn’t follow through. Does a contract exist? Why or why not? Jake thinks he has a sexual harassment claim based on federal law against his employer. Jake resides in Texas, and his employer also resides in Texas. Jake’s damages are $60,000. Can Jake sue in federal court? Why or why not? Jason and Kellen go out for a night on the town. After a few drinks, Jason laughingly tells Kellen that if Kellen asks the waitress out, he will pay him $1,000. Jason and Kellen have made these types of bargains several times before, and they’ve never been enforced. Kellen asks the waitress out and asks for the money. Jason declines. If Kellen sues for breach of contract, will he win? Why or why not? 2. Carl has made a will leaving all of his estate to his wife Lulu. Carl and his sister Mary wish to win property together. They’ve been asked whether they should own as tenants in common or as joint tenants. Explain the differences between these two forms of ownership in terms. Which one is best for Carl?

Louis writes a check, on his account with Country Bank, payable to Matt, who bands at Suburb Bank. Suburb Bank uses Middle Band to act as an intermediary bank.
