YOU might have been to the Far East on a holiday,
to China or Hong Kong, tasted the amazing variety
of foods on offer and wondered how they do it. In
addition, staying in the City Beautiful only you must
have experienced scrumptious Chinese dishes in
well-known restaurants like Mandarin, Shangri-La,
Chop Sticks et al. interestingly, the Chinese
restaurant market is notoriously competitive. And for
that matter now there is yet another Chinese food
joint for all those Chinese cuisine lovers.
After its success in cities as that of Pune, Delhi and
Gurgaon, ‘Yo China’ a Chinese restaurant has
recently opened its 12th outlet but first in the city,
which has come as a good experience for the
customers to pamper their taste buds. Though not
designed as a typical Chinese facade it still gives a
very lively and an enjoyable feel. Or if put in one
sentence, the place is in no way disappointing in its
food preparation as it blends with the name ‘China’
magnificently.
According to its Area Manager Sanjiv Raj, “Yo China
is an American concept. Its logo ‘Chinese Food, Chinese Prices’ very well correlates with
the theme. This restaurant has been designed keeping in mind the time factor as it
believes in quick food service within 10 minutes of placing the order.”
The most important thing that counts in this restaurant is its ambience as compared to
other typical Chinese cuisine outlets. The concept of dim lights, dragon hangings or
paintings and Chinese writings has been taken over by bright lights and beautiful
paintings on red and yellow coloured walls.
“Awarded as the “Best Chinese Restaurants” by a famous Food Guide Journal, the
concept of Yo China has come up as we have either the hawkers or really expensive
Chinese cuisines in the market. So our idea is to offer Chinese street hawker pricing with
quality Chinese food,” he said.
Talking about its menu, the main attraction for people here is an assortment of combos
that is offered in one platter, which ranges from mini meals to main course meals that
too at affordable price prepared in the state-of-the-art kitchen headed by corporate chef
from China. Along with this, another lip-smacking dish in its ‘carte du jour’ is the variety
of ‘Dim Sums’ or ‘Momos’, which are challaneng ing burgers and pizzas in the fast food
genre.
“We want to provide our customers with quality cuisine at affordable price. Even the
non-veg combo (served with steamed rice, spring roll, and one main dish ) comes in less
