Rangvalli Parivar is an institute in Thane, Maharashtra that creates huge rangolis for Hindu festivals and celebrations. Over the years from 2002-2008, they created rangolis of increasing sizes, including a 101 foot diameter rangoli in 2003 and a 20,000 square foot rangoli in 2008 featuring traditional motifs. Their rangolis incorporated different styles and themes to celebrate important Hindu holidays like Diwali and Gudi Padwa at temples and public spaces in Thane. Rangvalli Parivar aims to develop and promote rangoli as an art form.
