A proposed 90-minute horror/thriller film titled "The Swarm" aims to keep young adult and adult audiences on the edge of their seats without severe gore. It will be filmed at a private cottage in Great Dunmow, England using props like fake blood, candles, and an old key and ring. The story follows a young woman who moves alone into the cottage and finds an old ring, unknowingly releasing a dormant spirit that begins causing strange events like candles lighting on their own.

Background: Why are you creating these videos? What is the aim /
purpose? Modern horror/thriller films are currently very popular due to the vast
amount of interest in similar films such as The Possession, The Apparition and
Paranormal Activity. This has influenced the storyline due to personal interest as
well as a current swell of attention from mass audiences. The purpose is to keep
the audience on the edge of their seats- without using severe over the top horror
conventions such as ‘guts’.
Research: Locations, props, applicable laws, etc.
Location: Private cottage, Great Dunmow (only location, throughout the cottage,
street leading into it and field behind it which is private property.)
Props: Fake blood, car, candles, cardboard boxes, books, old key and ring.
Applicable laws: Taking into consideration copyright issues, not de-faming or
humiliating anyone, no copyright issues with background music (track).
Synopsis: Think of a blurb on the back of a book... Give a brief explanation
of what is going to happen in your video, from the start to the end. A young
girl (18) moves into a new house by herself. She roots through old boxes and
possessions of the previous owner who died in the house and finds a ring in an old
fireplace and places it on the table. Releasing a dormant spirit back into the house
with her touch. Strange events begin to unfold such as candles being lit by
