What information are you going
to establish in your opening
We are going to put in basic elements of the thriller
genre e.g. Suspense, mystery etc. we are also going to
emphasize the fact that there are spirits involved and
they are able to manipulate the real world to their
biding. We are going to use effective camera angles to
confuse the audience into thinking that there is
paranormal activity going on in the scenes we are going
to film.
Ideas about how you are going to present this
information – What will the audience see and
hear?

We will present this information in the aspect of
continuity sequences. The audience will see different
camera angles and shots and they will hear ambient
noises and sounds that create a mysterious effect. We
are going to show the house that the film is going to
take place and and we will show different props e.g. the
glove.
Which films and opening sequences have
influenced
you and why?

 Paranormal Activity has been one of the influences
due to its clever camera angles (handheld) and the
way it is set out so that it feels like you are in the
action.
