Abstract: Background: The purpose of the study was to find the effects of Harness Running, Sand Running,
Weight-Jacket Running and Weight training on the performance of Dribbling and kicking among the Burdwan
Distrist School going soccer players.
Method-100 male students from the different schools of the Burdwan distrist were randomly selected as subjects
and there age were 14-18 years served as Harness Running group (HRG), second group served as Sand
Running group (SRG), third group served as Weight-Jacket Running group (WJRG), fourth group served as
Weight training group (WTG) and the fifth group served as Control group (CTG).Ten weeks training were given
for experiment accordingly. The control group was not given any training except of their routine. The selected
subjects were measure of the following soccer skills of Kicking and Dribbling. ANCOVA was calculation for
statistical treatment.
Finding: From the finding implies that the Weight Jacket Group was more effective in decreasing the time taken
and increasing the distance then all other training programs after ten weeks of training on Dribbling and
kicking.
Conclusions: In dribbling Weight Jacket Group showed higher adjusted post-test mean difference with Control
Group in comparison to other three training groups which is 0.8, higher than the critical difference 0.51
required being significant at 0.05 levels.
In kicking Weight Jacket Running Group showed higher adjusted post-test mean difference with Control Group
in comparison to other three training groups which are 2.50, higher than the critical difference 1.60 required
being significant at 0.05 levels.

The Hopz Vertical Leap Resistance Trainer from SKLZ is designed to help athletes strengthen the key lower body muscles needed for explosive leg drive and
power, to maximize your vertical leap ability. The trainer consists of an adjustable waist belt, ankle straps, and resistance bands that provide 40 pounds of
resistance when jumping. The resistance bands secure direction to belt rings on the waist belt and to the ankle straps. Built in shoe harnesses on ankle straps keep
resistance bands in place to ensure proper positioning. The waist belt adjusts to fit most waist sizes and the trainer is recommended for users from 5 feet, 4 inches
tall to 6 feet, 2 inches tall.

How to Set Up Your Hopz
1 – Attach ankle straps. Ensure each shoe harness is looped around the bottom of each shoe. Fasten the velcro straps.
2 – Attach the belt by threading the strap through the double rings and then fastening the strap. The double rings should be facing forward.
3 – Clip one 7.5-inch resistance band on the right ring and one 7.5-inch resistance band on the left ring. The 7.5-inch band is recommended for beginners. Add the
additional 5.5-inch bands to each side for more resistance and advanced workout.
4 – For the easiest method of attachment, kneel or sit in a comfortable, stable chair and connect the resistance
bands to the ankle straps. Connect the band on the right to the right ankle strap. Connect the band on the left to the left ankle strap. Slowly

Reps and Sets: A General Guideline
Reps and sets are a way to track progress with your training. This is a general guide. Programs will vary depending
on your specific needs, goals, off-season or in-season, experience, etc.
As a general guideline to start:
- 8-10 repetitions for 2-3 sets when training for strength (moderate to heavy resistance with focus on proper form and control)
- 4-6 repetitions for 3-5 sets when training for power (moderate resistance with increase in speed of movement)
Proper form
When trying movements for the first time, use less resistance with the goal of being able to perform all movements
without breaking form. Do not push through or ignore aches and pains as you perform any movement.
