1. Are you working on a research paper for a
class? Do you have to write something that
needs solid facts and evidence? Do you try to
Google something and all the sites come back
blocked? There is a remedy. Hamilton
subscribes to a few databases and we have
access to a few FREE from the state of
Indiana. Databases are legit sources you can
use for a paper and for research. They are
much better places to visit than just
“Googling” something. Mrs. Wells is here to
help. If you need tips, tools and training on
finding the right materials for your paper, stop
in the library and schedule time for help. Mrs.
Wells will do one on one trainings to teach you
how to find sources accurately for your papers
and documents. Google works for some
things, but not all of them. Some Google sites
are found first because people pay to be
moved up the list. Plus, not all of the
information you Google is factual. Remember
that as you work on your next paper. If you are
interested in being trained to use a database,
please contact Mrs. Wells. She can schedule a
time during resource period any day of the
week. The databases are available on the
school website.
