MULTI CRAFT INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE AND BOILER TECH
SALARY: $25.17 per hr.
DUTIES:Maintain and repair operational equipment to meet or exceed facility goals under the direction of
facility management staff. Responsibilities include the completion of work orders, preventative
maintenance, adjustments and repairs of all facility equipment/infrastructure to assure maximum
equipment effectiveness. Technician is accountable to facility management for duties performed under his
or her responsibility and can demonstrate that he or she adds value to the organization.Perform duties to
maintain and repair a variety of production and plant facility equipment and assist supervisor with ordering
parts, standardizing components and maintaining repair parts inventories
Perform periodic tests or checks of all electrical equipment.
Perform repairs and calibrate electrical and/or electronic instruments.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic,
and pneumatic components.
Tear down equipment, rebuild and replace defective parts and component units such as: motors, gear
boxes, clutches, bearings and electrical units as needed, reassemble and make final equipment
adjustments.
Perform regular checks on all building equipment such as sprinkler system, pumps, chillers, compressors,
and power system as required.
Perform program changes and make diagnostic checks on production and facility equipment as needed.
Lay out circuits and install electrical wiring systems to handle required loads for various parts of the plant,
run lines, make connections, install proper safety devices and provide for necessary outlets and switches.
Install and hook-up manufacturing equipment, exercising care as to size of motors, voltage requirements,
and balance circuits for proper power distribution.
Fabricate and machine parts as required and requisition repair parts as needed.
Assist outside contractors on on-site projects.
Responsible for any other special projects as assigned. Operates and maintains biler plant and realted
equipment burners pumps tanks operations panels hot seal etc. Uses specialized test equipment to
collect and test samples and performs chemical checks along with anodize samples. Insures proper
function of all anodize equipment. Runs plant to produce required steam at maximum combustion.
Exposed regularly hazardous materials. PLEASE required including acid resistant suit boots gloves and
respirator. Has completed hazardous materials training and arc flash training.
Able to operate various mechanical and electrical systems which include high pressure steam systems,
auxiliary steam systems, combustion air systems, plant and control air systems, fuel systems, fabric filter
baghouse, ash handling equipment, cooling water systems, feed water systems, and other auxiliary
systems.
Able to identify equipment problems, report abnormal conditions and document properly using logs,
records, and our work request system.
Able to read and interpret basic blue prints, technical specifications and operating manuals.
Able to understand and ensure electrical and mechanical equipment are de-energized and made safe for
working conditions as required. Ensure appropriate permits are prepared as required by the jobs.

DUTIES:
Perform the uncomplex repair, overhaul, maintenance, modification and fabrication of electronic
/ electrical and mechanical devices and equipment such as circuit test sets, breakout boxes, power
monitor test sets, power distribution boxes and cable and harness assemblies. Disassemble,
repair, overhaul, modify and fabricate a variety of components of less complex electronic
/ electrical equipment such as electrical circuit test sets, cant angle sensor test
unit, breakout boxes for missile guidance sets, power monitor test sets, power distribution
boxes and a wide variety of cables and harness assemblies. Follow signal paths through
wired circuitry as shown on blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams in order to
fault isolate and repair. Read schematics and blueprints of assemblies to determine
values, polarity and location of defective parts. Plan sequence of operations,Determine proper test points
for
measuring values. Use a variety of hand tools such as drills, chassis punches, torque
wrenches, soldering equipment, meggars, and volt-ohm meters to replace/repair components.
Clean and rework a variety of wire harnesses. Clean wires of all rust and debris
and mend any holes or tears in the wire by melting new covering over the harness
by using heat guns and dremel tools. Solder metal ends of harnesses and clean the
finished product. Disassemble, clean with walnut hull machine, rework, tape, paint,
wire and reassemble dome lights to ensure proper function. Wrap, package and label
dome lights. Separate wires and group them to their destination. Perform a number
of visual checks on wires and check with a volt-ohm meter. Disassemble various types
of engines including 1790 diesel engines - Q01574, Q02H25, Q01L1M, Q01A7F, Q02PKS,
Q11ECC and V6 engines - Q012HR, Q018HR, Q01F30, Q01CMP and V8 engines - Q01KNU, Q02232,
Q01CGD and Q01KAT. Work with a variety of tools including generator coupling tools,
generator drive adaptor, "V" band clamp, eye bolts, mechanical puller, box wrench,
splined wrench, lifting sling, lifting tool, 7/16" - 1 1/2" wrenches, air wrenches,
vice grips, crescent wrenches, easy outs, 1/2" & 3/4" impact wrenches, 5/16" - 1/2"
sockets, mallets, acetylene torches, arbor presses, dial indicators, micrometers,
torque wrenches, manometers, gear pullers, tachometers, tension checking tools, plunger
extensions, governor weight pullers, valve driver and ball joint vice. I have used
these tools to remove a variety of parts such as main bearing caps, damper housings,
rods, flywheels, balancers, fuel inlets, return hoses, fuel injector pump inlet hoses,
crankcase breather tubes, electrical leads, throttle controls, fuel shut-off rods,
throttle levers, cam shafats, fuel injection pumps, front & rear drive housings,
clutch assemblies, mounting bases, cylinder air deflectors, oil pans, support frames,
fuel tubes, throttle linkage cross shafts, fuel/water separator, automatic drain
systems, starters, intake manifolds, tie rods, generators, engine electrical leads
- AVDS-17902C & AVDS-17902D, time totalizing meters, cylinder head oil drain lines,
front & rear shrouds, adaptor plates, tension vibration clampers, pistons & pins,
crankshafts, cylinder assemblies, gaskets, dowel pins, spur gearshafts, support frame
brackets, turbosuper charger oil inlets, head plates, oil filter tubes, exhaust manifolds,
smoke generator systems, oil sampling systems, cooling fans, cooling fan vanes, cooling
fan shrouds, crankcase protection, oil filters, oil pressure regulator valves, oil
