This document is the September-October 2013 issue of TELE-audiovision, a trade magazine for the digital television industry. The main stories include product reviews of signal analyzers, receivers, and headend equipment from companies like Deviser, Horizon, DragonSat, and SPAUN. There are also articles on topics like self-made IPTV, ultra high definition television, and new digital technologies. Company profiles of ÖREIND, CHANGHONG, and SPEEDCAST are featured.
Speedcast is a large satellite TV uplink operator located in Barueri, Brazil. They operate seven uplink dishes of varying sizes to broadcast signals for major Brazilian TV channels. Speedcast was the first company to broadcast an HDTV signal in Brazil in 2008. They uplink signals to satellites and also operate a small studio to produce business TV programs for corporate clients. With 34 employees, Speedcast has become a leader in the Brazilian TV uplink field within just 10 years of operations.
The document tests and evaluates two SCR multiswitch models from SPAUN - the SUS 5581/33 NF LEGACY and SUS 5581 F. It finds that both models distribute satellite and terrestrial signals to multiple receivers through a single coaxial cable with excellent signal quality and minimal loss. The SUS 5581/33 NF LEGACY can distribute signals to up to 16 receivers in either legacy or SCR modes. When used together, the SUS 5581 F can add an additional output distributing to 8 more receivers. Measurements found very high signal levels and quality across all outputs with negligible degradation from the original satellite source.
Öreind is a small electronics repair and installation business located in Iceland that celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2013. It was founded by two partners who began by repairing home electronics and installing satellite and antenna systems. Öreind now generates about 40% of its revenue from satellite components, 10% from antennas, 20% from repairs, and 30% from IPTV equipment and supplies as it focuses on future growth in that area. After experiencing many successes and challenges over 25 years in business, Öreind remains focused on serving its customers by supplying equipment and components for satellite, terrestrial, and internet-based TV solutions.
Ultra high definition television (UHDTV) provides significantly higher resolution than standard HDTV. UHDTV resolution is 4K (3840 x 2160) or 8K (7680 x 4320), which is 4 and 16 times the resolution of 1080p HDTV respectively. UHDTV also provides wider color gamut, higher frame rates up to 120 frames per second for smoother 3D video, and more advanced audio capabilities. However, UHDTV requires much greater bandwidth for transmission and new equipment that is not yet widely available. While the benefits of UHDTV are clear, widespread adoption will depend on addressing technological and infrastructure challenges.
This document discusses IPTV networks and protocols. It explains that UDP is better suited than TCP for live video and audio transmission due to TCP's need for packet acknowledgement. Multicast transmission sends one stream to multiple receivers without using additional bandwidth, while Unicast sends individually to each receiver. A 1000Mb network is recommended for reliable use with IPTV to avoid bottlenecks. Network monitoring software like Wireshark can analyze IPTV traffic and identify sources.
The document provides a review of the Deviser S7000, a new multi-standard digital TV signal analyzer. It has a large high-resolution display, supports standards like DVB-S/S2, DVB-C, DVB-T/T2/H, ATSC and DTMB. The analyzer includes a real-time spectrum analysis feature and transport stream analyzer. It can also be remotely controlled via PC or mobile phone. The reviewer was impressed by its comprehensive set of measurement functions and easy to use interface. The S7000 is introduced as a high-end professional analyzer that sets a new standard for performance and features.
The document provides a review of the Audolici A1/25 integrated amplifier. It summarizes the amplifier's features and performance. The reviewer was impressed by the amplifier's ability to reproduce music with incredible depth, dimension, and clarity. Though it uses vacuum tubes like higher-end models, its price is relatively affordable at around half the cost. The review concludes the amplifier performed excellently based on extensive listening tests with various genres of music.
The document summarizes an app called Air Tivi+ that can control the Tiviar digital TV receiver via smartphones and tablets. The app allows users to select channels, view the program schedule, control the receiver remotely using an on-screen remote, and access settings. During testing, the app worked seamlessly to stream both SD and HD live TV to iOS devices over WiFi. However, HD content placed more strain on the WiFi connection. While the app concept was impressive, some bugs remained to be addressed, such as different channel ordering compared to the receiver. Overall, the app was found to enhance the Tiviar receiver experience.

US$ 49 miljoen waren stegen ze in 2004 naar US$ 80 mil-
US$ 170 miljoen verwacht en in 2008 zouden ze US$ 270
Naast satelliet-
locatie. David Choi verklaart: “Een extra productiehal is
gesitueerd in Thailand”.

land, CabSAT Dubai, IFA Duitsland, CeBit Tur-
