Today, technology is progressing rapidly, this change and development cause the rate of change to increase until it eventually becomes exponential. However, technological trends and leading technologies are changing. Many things have changed this year since the outbreak of COVID-19, making IT professionals realize that tomorrow their position in the contactless world will not remain the same. And in 2020-21, an IT specialist can continuously learn, unlearn and relearn (out of necessity if not desire).

It also contains small video on working of IoT, which was created by Think Academy.
The "Internet of things" (IoT) is becoming an increasingly growing topic of conversation both in the workplace and outside of it. It's a concept that not only has the potential to impact how we live but also how we work.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
Project Glass is a research and development program by Google to develop an augmented reality Head-Mounted Display (HMD). The intended purpose of Project Glass products would be the hands-free displaying of information currently available to most Smartphone users, and allowing for interaction with the Internet via natural language voice commands. These glasses will have the combined features of virtual reality and augmented reality. Google glasses are basically wearable computers that will use the same Android software that powers Android Smartphone and tablets.
The emergence of Google Glass, a prototype for a transparent Heads-Up Display (HUD) worn over one eye, is significant on several levels. It is the first conceptualization of a mainstream augmented reality wearable eye display playing out in a viral marketing campaign. Google Glass will enable us to capture video, let us interact with personal contacts, and navigate maps, amongst other things. It has been provocative enough to scare both Apple and Microsoft, who had been issuing patents for augmented reality products of their own . However, most salient of all is the way Google Glass is framed in media as the brainchild of Sergey Brin, the American computer scientist of Russian descent who co-founded Google. Brin is also celebrated in online articles as a real life “Batman,” who is developing a secret facility resembling the “Batcave”. This paper argues that Glass’s birth is not only a marketing phenomenon heralding a technical prototype, it also suggests and speculates that Glass’s popularization is an instigator for the adoption of a new paradigm in Human- Computer Interaction (HCI), the wearable eye display. Glass’s process of adoption operates in the context of mainstream and popular culture discourses, a phenomenon that warrants attention.
Google Glass is as futuristic a gadget we’ve seen in recent times. A useful technology for all kinds of people including handicapped/disabled.
IoT which stands for Internet of Things is not a very new topic, but sensing its importance and growing demand, it's very important for one to understand what exactly is IoT. So, here is the file, which will help you know about it in a very easy manner.

Today the Virtual reality (VR) technology is applied to advance fields
of medicine, engineering, education, design, training, and entertainment. VR is
a computer interface that tries to mimic the real-world beyond the flat monitor to
give an immersive 3D (Three Dimension) visual experiences. Often it is hard to
reconstruct the scales and distances between objects in static 2D images. Thus
the third dimension helps to bring depth to objects.VR can be programmed by
using virtual reality modelling language.
Augmented Reality is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated
the image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite

adding layers of digital information onto it. Unlike Virtual Reality (VR), AR
does not create the whole artificial environments to replace real with a virtual
one. AR appears in direct view of an existing environment and adds sounds,

Information Technology that drives growth in Telecommunications.pdfAnil
The relationship between IT and Telecom
Today, telecommunications has evolved to facilitate communication through computers, cloud-based technology, and similar other advanced IT technologies that were unimaginable even a decade ago. People no longer need to be in the office to connect with their teammates, VoIP systems can be integrated with an app to make connections quicker! Thus, enabling a tech-savvy ecosystem that facilitates improved employee experience and higher productivity for a business.
Role of IT in the Telecom Industry:
1. Cloud Computing
Cloud networking inherently simplifies and speeds up networking functionalities through the use of virtual routers, bridges, and adapters. Telecoms are leveraging this property of cloud computing to create Virtualized Radio Access Networks (vRAN) facilitating agility, flexibility, and efficiency in mobile networks.
2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
Three out of four business executives believe that AI will drive efficiency in the future says Harvard Business Review (HBR). Innovative and forward-facing providers are already pairing AI with ML and other emerging technologies to improve learning, optimize performance, and enhance consumer satisfaction. The role of IT-based services like data science and analytics, in the telecom industry, is what brings services like customized UX and predictive maintenance to end-users.
3. Natural Language Processing (NLP)
For every minute a customer waits to resolve their problem, the Consumer Service Index (CSI) takes a dive. Walmart resolved this issue with the help of NLP powered by telecom services. Their bot now resolves up to 90% of consumer queries.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. based systems will remain an expensive option for most
organizations.
This allows service providers to continue many AI applications that
enable businesses to feed on the data and pay for algorithms or
computational services to recruit IT consulting companies.
3. 2. 5G Tech
With fast download and upload speeds and general seamless use, the
mobile data network of the 5th century attracted everyone’s attention.
The 5G transition is supposed to be the next standard for 2021 in the
mobile industry and architecture, after seeing a welcome response in the
USA and China with its expensive and remote launches in 2019.
This provides a significant loading speed and streaming time for
smartphones and makes mobile devices efficient for heavy tasks on-the-
go. This fast and stable mobile technology, previously limited to a home or
office’s physical limits, improves bandwidth and ensures substantial data
processing, adding too many IoT and smart gadgets’ capabilities shortly.
Around 2500 satellites have been deployed in the SpaceX proposals to
make this feasible with Starlink Broadband this year.
4. 3. Blockchain
Blockchain is one of the very few technological advancements that create
a mood for its breakthrough results. For logging transactions and keeping
the data safe and secure by encrypting and decentralizing it
simultaneously, it is a kind of digital diary. This innovative technology will
make real changes with the aid of stalwarts from previous year’s leaders
such as FedEx, Mastercard, IBM, and others, revolutionizing standards for
smaller competitors.
Ultimately, the thorough implementation of blockchain with AI, Big Data,
machine learning, and many other fields will address many issues with
mapping large data volumes. Industries such as electronic commerce, the
supply chain, or even government agencies will simultaneously profit from
the innovations this technology searches for.
5. 4. Computer Vision
When we progress into 2021, we can see apps and innovations equipped
with Machine Vision designed for an increasing variety of applications. In
particular, how autonomous vehicles visit and manage the risk is
significant. Computer vision cameras may be used by production lines to
monitor defective items or equipment faults. Surveillance cameras can
alert us to something out of the ordinary, without the need for 24/7
monitoring.
Computer vision also allows for face recognition, which we will learn a
great deal about in 2021. We have already seen the technology’s
usefulness in handling our smartphones’ access in Apple’s Face and how
Dubai Airport enables a smooth customer journey. As use cases increase in
2021, further debates will be held on limiting the use of this technology. It
will erode anonymity and allow state laws to keep a close eye on people,
hindering their privacy.
6. 5. Extended Reality
Extended Reality Extended Reality (XR) is an all-embracing term with
many new and emerging technologies used to create more realistic
immersive environments. In particular, it refers to immersive, enhanced,
and mixed reality.
Virtual reality (VR) gives you a fully digital and immersive experience with
headsets that blend the real world into a computer-generated world.
Increased Reality (AR) overlays digital objects into the real world through
smartphones or displays (think Snapchat filters). Mixed reality (MR) is an
extension of AR, meaning that users can interact with digital objects in
real life (consider playing a holographic piano that you have placed into
your room via an AR headset).
