Tonisha Brown has over 20 years of experience helping families achieve their fitness and financial goals. She is a certified personal trainer and has taught various fitness classes. Brown also has experience as a housing counselor manager where she oversaw homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention, and financial literacy programs. Realizing the rewards of empowering individuals in health and personal finance, Brown founded Living In Abundance to provide related events, workshops, and consulting services. She also contributes to a blog focused on personal finance and health and wealth.

1. Tonisha Brown has been helping families with their fitness and financial goals
for over 20 years.
She began her fitness journey in 2000 and in 2003 became an American
Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer and loved teaching
kickboxing and fitness boot camp classes. With her one-on-one personal
training and group classes she focused on health education, weight loss goals,
boosting confidence, and stress relief through meditation. She enjoyed
watching her client’s accomplish their health goals. Throughout the years including the current year 2015,
Tonisha has continued to assist families with achieving their fitness goals.
In the last 5 years when she worked for S&S Development Group, NFP as the Housing Counselor Manager. As
the Housing Counselor Manager, she oversaw the Housing Counseling program that includes homebuyer
education, foreclosure prevention, rental counseling, and financial literacy, and a staff of 5 employees. She
developed curriculum, organized and executed successful foreclosure prevention, homebuyer education, and
financial literacy workshops every quarter. She has helped her clients discover their financial potential as
they decided to become a homeowner. Her greatest achievement is her unyielding ability to be able to
connect with clients because she has been on both sides of the table. She is also very passionate about giving
back to the community by educating Chicago Public School K-12 students with her signature financial literacy 8
week workshop during the school year with her signature youth financial literacy curriculum.
Realizing the rewards of helping and educating individuals better understand health and wellness and
personal finances, both adult and child, Tonisha Brown founded Living In Abundance, where she is also the
CEO.
Living in Abundance is about empowering and strategizing for the future so that we will live our life
abundantly by focusing on two key factors that many families face: Health and Finance
Tonisha Brown will provide health and wellness events focused on nutrition, mental and physical health. She
will also offer consulting services for financial literacy workshops to companies seeking training and
development for staff and/or clients.
