This document provides guidance for photographing typical buildings, architecture, and iconic structures in New York City, including the Empire State Building, streets, subways, and skyline views from locations around the city. It recommends taking photos from a variety of angles, such as high shots of buildings and straight shots down roads, as well as close-ups of reflections in windows. Photos should be taken during daylight hours using natural lighting, and additional photos are suggested even in poor weather since brightness can be adjusted later.
