Toby, a 12-year old indentured servant, leaves London for Boston in 1773 hoping for a better life. As a servant to Master Grimes, Toby witnesses the cruel treatment of colonists and decides to help the patriot cause by spying on his master. Toby learns of plans for the Boston Tea Party and steals a book containing the names of tea ships set to arrive. On the night of the Tea Party, Toby confirms the ship names, aiding the colonists as they dump crates of tea into Boston Harbor in protest of British rule.
