Bridget Jones' Diary is about an average British woman named Bridget Jones who is struggling with her weight, job, and lack of a relationship. As a New Year's resolution, she decides to start keeping a diary where she promises to always tell the truth. Her charming but disreputable boss takes an interest in her. Bridget is also thrown into interactions with her friends and Mark Darcy, a disagreeable acquaintance she finds quietly attractive. The movie stars Renée Zellweger as Bridget Jones and Hugh Grant and Colin Firth as her love interests. It was produced by British companies and filmed on location in Britain.
