Smoking is a major problem in society with a large number of smokers facing serious health risks. Tobacco can cause cancer of the lungs and mouth, kill over 40,000 people annually in Spain and 3.5 million worldwide. It is also highly addictive, making quitting difficult, and can lead to respiratory issues that impact daily activities and sports. Cigarettes contain over 4,000 chemicals, including 40 that are known carcinogens, and passive smoking poses health risks as well, such as increased cancer risk and respiratory problems for children. The document urges not taking up smoking for the sake of one's health and life.
