Masha is a creator and producer who launched an art food project called What The Food in Moscow, Russia. The project involved cooking vegetarian meals using random ingredients chosen daily and delivering over 150,000 food boxes. Masha visited Tel Aviv and had an idea to do free "pay what you want" dinners using vegetables from markets that are given away for free before Shabbat. The plan involves hunting for free vegetables from markets on Friday morning, cooking dishes in a kitchen, and serving the food on the street for people to eat for free or pay what they want. Masha is looking for a kitchen space to use one Friday in April to pilot the project and generate publicity for the hosting restaurant.

3. Every morning we bought a random set of ingredients,
took an attractive picture and uploaded it to our blog
asking our followers: “guess, what we will cook
today”?
People ordered their What The Food dinner, not
knowing what it would be – a pie, a ragout,
a pizza, a risotto or anything else.
My name is Masha, I am a creator and producer
in different art and media projects.
One of my pet projects is called What The Food,
I launched it in Moscow, Russia. It's an art food
project, where I also worked as a vegetarian chef.

6. THE IDEA

7. Few weeks ago I’ve visited Tel Aviv.
I found out about one tradition here:
all markets give away products for free before Shabbat.
And mostly all the products are of a good quality.
I won't let good vegetables to decay!

8. I'd like to cook free dinners using these free vegetables from the markets.
this dinners should be also free, but if someone wants to pay,
he can pay as much as he want.

will explain our idea. People can

If someone wants

I would need some place to cook – a kitchen with equipment.
It could be done any APRIL Friday (1 day).

15. Why I think you could be interested:
The event will be advertised in social networks for the Tel Aviv audience before
it starts and after it finishes (video and seeding).
So it will be a good PR for your restaurant.
In case if we see a sufficient demand, we can continue arranging such events every Shabbat.
