Romulus and Remus were twins.
Romulus and Remus were dumped in the
river Tiber by there wicked uncles slaves.
They were found be a she wolf who looked
after them.
Later a shepherd saw them and took them
home.
They killed their wicked uncle.
Then they built a city but couldn’t decide
what to call it.
They had a fight to the death and Romulus
won.

Remus died so the city got called Rome.
 The

empire started in
Rome Italy.
 The Romans took over
other countries.
 Britain was the last to
be invaded because we
were over the water
and they needed boats.






Rich people had bath
Poor people don’t have baths
Romans washed their body
with oil.
Other Romans go to the baths
to chat or relax.
The coliseum could
hold 80000 people.
 Romans go there to be
entertained and watch
fights
 Gladiators fought lions
and tigers.

 The

soldiers wore
armour to protect
themselves.
 They built walls.
 They had spears to
throw and stab.
The tortoise formation
needs quite a few
people for it to work.
 They use the formation
to protect them when
they are under attack
from arrows.
 Shields go above, in
front and at the side.
