Information Sharing
The Internet is an invaluable resource for community safety,
because it provides public access to information on justice-
related issues within communities and throughout the United
States. Many law enforcement practitioners have embraced the
Internet and made information widely available, allowing access
to considerable justice-related data for their jurisdictions.
Currently, there are many websites available to the law
enforcement community that provide data and information of
interest to criminal justice practitioners. Many in the law
enforcement community, however, may not be aware of the
availability of these resources. Further, to search through the
vast amount of data available, law enforcement practitioners
have to spend considerable time accessing and conducting
searches on individual sites. Access to all of the databases
through a single access point would greatly benefit the law
enforcement community and allow for the most efficient search
functionality and data retrieval.
The creation of a law enforcement information sharing portal to
provide a single access point would benefit the entire criminal
justice community by allowing for more efficiency,
effectiveness, and cost savings. The ability of law enforcement
to query multiple resources with a common term from a unified
interface will deliver a more comprehensive view regarding the
search criteria.
The Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website
(NSOPW) is an example of the success that a single access
point for searching multiple resources can provide. Prior to the
NSOPW, many states had their own sex offender registry
systems. However, to conduct a comprehensive search of
registered sex offenders, it was necessary to conduct searches
on the individual websites of the respective states and
territories.
In 2005, when NSOPW was launched, the public had real-time
access to information on sex offender registries throughout the
United States and select territories. NSOPW provides an
efficient and effective resource to identify registered sex
offenders nationwide through a single search from any computer
with Internet access. The NSOPW has proven to be an extremely
successful and well-used resource since its launch. The success
of the NSOPW demonstrates the value of providing a single
access point for searching databases to law enforcement
practitioners and the public alike.
The Internet has revolutionized the accessibility of information,
and in a relatively short amount of time, it has evolved
exponentially. Advances in technology, which make vital
information available via the Internet, have provided the law
enforcement community with a cost-effective tool. Using
available technology to integrate existing resources will provide
law enforcement professionals with expanded access to
information that will aid in current investigations and could
help prevent future criminal activity.

Introduction
The brochures “Speak Up Depression “discusses the basic
information about depression. Some of the areas addressed in
the brochures include cases that can lead to depression, signs,
treatment of depression, people to consult when depressed, and
the importance of taking medicine when diagnosed with
depression. The article uniquely describes the actions of an
individual patient. The document was written through a
collaboration of distinguished groups, including the alliance of
depression and bipolar support, the American Mental Health
group, and the Association of American Psychiatric and
published in August 2013.

Summary of the brochure
Everyone can be at the risk of depression since depression
i9nvolves more feelings than the feeling of being sad. Some of
the common signs of depression are feeling overwhelmed,
agitated, or isolating oneself from others and having no interest
in given activities. Warning signs of depression, as discussed in
the article, include developing a sad feeling, having no interest
in activities one was interested in, minimized interest in sex,
isolation from others, developing thoughts of suicide or death,
and experiencing difficulty in making decisions. Additionally,
developing the feeling of being worthless or valueless is another
alarming sign of depression.
As discussed in the article, the general factors leading to
depression include historical family issues of depression,
underlying mental health conditions, encountering stress
generating life events, being traumatized, medication, and
deteriorating health conditions. When one has depression,
he/she needs to speak it out and initiate the program of seeking
help. One can talk to friends, colleges in the workplace, family
members, doctors, or people from worship places. Additionally,
one can visit a doctor who is in a position to determine what
happening, causes is, and help undergo the right treatment
procedure.
The treatment of depression may involve therapy that involves
talking, medication, being involved in support groups. As one
of the strategies used in treating depression, talk therapy is
effective since it helps the doctors learn more about the cause of
depression and develop approaches to manage it. Taking of
medicine is also another strategy in treating depression, and one
is advised to disclose all information about the medicines that
are taking in the treatment of depression. Additionally, different
medications are used to treat depression, and one should not
think that all depression conditions are uniformly treated. It is
advisable to seek help from family and friends who can help
meet the treatment plan's set goals. In reducing depression, the
individuals are advised to take enough sleep, speed more time
with people, avoid being alone, and strictly follow the daily
routine.
Evaluation.
The discussion raised by the article is uniquely developed;
many areas are well discussed while addressing the patients.
Generally, I liked the article's discussion and think that the
information given on factors leading to depressions, the
importance of the treatment process, and the healing process are
well developed. Some areas need improvement in the brochure.
First, the article did not discuss any item on the first aid
measures to identify a depressed person. Second, the article
failed to provide the medication's common side effects or even
highlight the most effective method of curing depression
without incurring the side effects. Third, the article did not
disclose information on how individuals can avoid depression.
Avoiding depression are significant areas that should be
discussed when creating awareness of depression.
The depression awareness developed in the brochure was
interesting since it has helped me acquire knowledge of
depression, treatment, and strategies to reduce depression. The
information presented is beneficial to me, and I will use the
knowledge acquired to create awareness for my peer counselors'
organization. The information discussed was presented in
simplified vocabularies that are simple to understand. I think
the nursing and health care research supported the research; the
information given includes knowledge of a nurse and doctors.
Matters concerning developing a treatment plan and healing
process of a depression patient involve nurses and doctors. The
article addresses individuals who are not affected by
depression; the information will benefit the non-affected.
Nevertheless, the information can benefit that having depression
but are yet to acknowledge. The information given will
significantly increase patient safety; for instance, if one reads
the article, he/she will be aware of the causes of depression and
how to be safe, thus minimizing cases of suicide.
Conclusion.
Depression is more than a feeling of sadness. People may
acquire depression from family issues, health condition, and
stress generating activities. When diagnosed with depression, it
is always to seek medical help and strictly adhere to the
treatment plan. Taking enough sleep and avoiding being isolated
are some of the measures in reducing depression. The brochure
is important to a person at risk since it helps one learn the signs
of depression, the start point of acquiring help in the journey of
depression. Additionally, it helps the person learn that
depression can be treated and the various treatment methods
available. The information discussed in the brochure helps one
develop insights into depression.

  • 1. Title ABC/123 Version X 1 Program Case Study Information Sharing The Internet is an invaluable resource for community safety, because it provides public access to information on justice- related issues within communities and throughout the United States. Many law enforcement practitioners have embraced the Internet and made information widely available, allowing access to considerable justice-related data for their jurisdictions. Currently, there are many websites available to the law enforcement community that provide data and information of interest to criminal justice practitioners. Many in the law enforcement community, however, may not be aware of the availability of these resources. Further, to search through the vast amount of data available, law enforcement practitioners have to spend considerable time accessing and conducting searches on individual sites. Access to all of the databases through a single access point would greatly benefit the law enforcement community and allow for the most efficient search functionality and data retrieval. The creation of a law enforcement information sharing portal to provide a single access point would benefit the entire criminal justice community by allowing for more efficiency, effectiveness, and cost savings. The ability of law enforcement
  • 2. to query multiple resources with a common term from a unified interface will deliver a more comprehensive view regarding the search criteria. The Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) is an example of the success that a single access point for searching multiple resources can provide. Prior to the NSOPW, many states had their own sex offender registry systems. However, to conduct a comprehensive search of registered sex offenders, it was necessary to conduct searches on the individual websites of the respective states and territories. In 2005, when NSOPW was launched, the public had real-time access to information on sex offender registries throughout the United States and select territories. NSOPW provides an efficient and effective resource to identify registered sex offenders nationwide through a single search from any computer with Internet access. The NSOPW has proven to be an extremely successful and well-used resource since its launch. The success of the NSOPW demonstrates the value of providing a single access point for searching databases to law enforcement practitioners and the public alike. The Internet has revolutionized the accessibility of information, and in a relatively short amount of time, it has evolved exponentially. Advances in technology, which make vital information available via the Internet, have provided the law enforcement community with a cost-effective tool. Using available technology to integrate existing resources will provide law enforcement professionals with expanded access to information that will aid in current investigations and could help prevent future criminal activity. Running head: DEPRESSION 1 DEPRESSION 5 Depression Jane Uhunamure Chamberlain University NR224-60868 Professor Deborah Martin April 5, 2021 Introduction The brochures “Speak Up Depression “discusses the basic information about depression. Some of the areas addressed in the brochures include cases that can lead to depression, signs, treatment of depression, people to consult when depressed, and the importance of taking medicine when diagnosed with depression. The article uniquely describes the actions of an individual patient. The document was written through a collaboration of distinguished groups, including the alliance of depression and bipolar support, the American Mental Health group, and the Association of American Psychiatric and
  • 4. published in August 2013. Reference The Joint Commission (2013). Speak Up Depression. Retrieved from https://www.jointcommission.org/resources/for- consumers/speak-up-campaigns/depression/ Summary of the brochure Everyone can be at the risk of depression since depression i9nvolves more feelings than the feeling of being sad. Some of the common signs of depression are feeling overwhelmed, agitated, or isolating oneself from others and having no interest in given activities. Warning signs of depression, as discussed in the article, include developing a sad feeling, having no interest in activities one was interested in, minimized interest in sex, isolation from others, developing thoughts of suicide or death, and experiencing difficulty in making decisions. Additionally, developing the feeling of being worthless or valueless is another alarming sign of depression. As discussed in the article, the general factors leading to depression include historical family issues of depression, underlying mental health conditions, encountering stress generating life events, being traumatized, medication, and deteriorating health conditions. When one has depression, he/she needs to speak it out and initiate the program of seeking help. One can talk to friends, colleges in the workplace, family members, doctors, or people from worship places. Additionally, one can visit a doctor who is in a position to determine what happening, causes is, and help undergo the right treatment procedure. The treatment of depression may involve therapy that involves talking, medication, being involved in support groups. As one of the strategies used in treating depression, talk therapy is effective since it helps the doctors learn more about the cause of depression and develop approaches to manage it. Taking of medicine is also another strategy in treating depression, and one is advised to disclose all information about the medicines that are taking in the treatment of depression. Additionally, different
  • 5. medications are used to treat depression, and one should not think that all depression conditions are uniformly treated. It is advisable to seek help from family and friends who can help meet the treatment plan's set goals. In reducing depression, the individuals are advised to take enough sleep, speed more time with people, avoid being alone, and strictly follow the daily routine. Evaluation. The discussion raised by the article is uniquely developed; many areas are well discussed while addressing the patients. Generally, I liked the article's discussion and think that the information given on factors leading to depressions, the importance of the treatment process, and the healing process are well developed. Some areas need improvement in the brochure. First, the article did not discuss any item on the first aid measures to identify a depressed person. Second, the article failed to provide the medication's common side effects or even highlight the most effective method of curing depression without incurring the side effects. Third, the article did not disclose information on how individuals can avoid depression. Avoiding depression are significant areas that should be discussed when creating awareness of depression. The depression awareness developed in the brochure was interesting since it has helped me acquire knowledge of depression, treatment, and strategies to reduce depression. The information presented is beneficial to me, and I will use the knowledge acquired to create awareness for my peer counselors' organization. The information discussed was presented in simplified vocabularies that are simple to understand. I think the nursing and health care research supported the research; the information given includes knowledge of a nurse and doctors. Matters concerning developing a treatment plan and healing process of a depression patient involve nurses and doctors. The article addresses individuals who are not affected by depression; the information will benefit the non-affected. Nevertheless, the information can benefit that having depression
  • 6. but are yet to acknowledge. The information given will significantly increase patient safety; for instance, if one reads the article, he/she will be aware of the causes of depression and how to be safe, thus minimizing cases of suicide. Conclusion. Depression is more than a feeling of sadness. People may acquire depression from family issues, health condition, and stress generating activities. When diagnosed with depression, it is always to seek medical help and strictly adhere to the treatment plan. Taking enough sleep and avoiding being isolated are some of the measures in reducing depression. The brochure is important to a person at risk since it helps one learn the signs of depression, the start point of acquiring help in the journey of depression. Additionally, it helps the person learn that depression can be treated and the various treatment methods available. The information discussed in the brochure helps one develop insights into depression. References The Joint Commission (2013). Speak Up Depression.
