A title sequence is the method by which
cinematic films or television programs present their
title, key production and cast members, or both. They
often use continuity editing to make it clear to the
audience what is happening.
The purpose of a title sequence is to introduce the
characters to the story, however not to show the
characters personality or the genre of the film.

3. TRAILER
A trailer for a movie is a short promotional
film that is often shown before and when
the film is out. It shows the most interesting
highlights of a film.

Trailers use montage editing whereas a title
sequence uses continuity editing.
Title sequences are longer than trailers.
A trailer is shown sometimes months before the
film, whereas a title sequence is shown just
before the film.
