This document discusses the textures, lighting, and style used in creating a matte painting of Marlinspike Hall for the Adventures of Tin Tin. Textures included mossy walls, ivy walls, and leaf walls modified using adjustment layers. Lighting was difficult but achieved using color overlays, adjustment layers, and shape layers with blur to create shadows. The style was realistic using photographed assets for the house and trees rendered in Photoshop based on the actual appearance of Marlinspike Hall today.
