Aalto Global Impact organized together with the New Global an event called Co-creating Business Ecosystems in Emerging Markets on 17th of June. The event was hosted by Fortum.
Nourish International is a national movement with 60 college chapters in the US and Canada that addresses poverty through sustainable solutions. The organization accomplishes its mission by having students run socially responsible businesses and invest earnings in partner organizations to address extreme poverty issues. Students gain skills in social enterprise, development, and leadership to create lasting change. Chapters partner with communities lacking funds for projects but with entrepreneurial visions to eradicate poverty through sustainable, scalable solutions. Nourish's lasting impact comes through supporting community-based poverty solutions and equipping students to be lifelong agents of social change.
MCRB and FFI began a week of multistakeholder workshops on sustainable tourism in Tanintharyi with a two day discussion focussed on Myeik District at the J&J Hotel on 15/16 May attended by around 60 local people involved in the tourism industry, and international and Myanmar tourism experts.
