Automation is a trending topic in 21st century making an important role in our daily lives. Automation reduces the human labor, time, effort and some human errors. The key objective of our project is to design a system for physically handicapped persons to control and operate home appliances and their own wheel chair by their own voice. Both these qualities are present in our project which has the capability to replace existing technologies. the design of the low cost voice recognition based home automation system for the physically challenged people suffering from quadriplegia or paraplegia (who cannot move their limbs but can speak and listen) to control the various home appliances just by his/her voice commands according to their need and comfort. We also implemented a messaging concept. In this whenever the patient or the person needs a help, if he/she pronounce as help a message will be sent to their respective represented family member. The resultant system can provide a great assistance to the physically handicapped people without any need of third person.

The BH84 PDA is a unique, and quality, wireless mobile solution for improving business efficiency. It is designed for harsh environments and provides powerful and efficient data collection capabilities for the mobile workforce.
Today safety of miners is a major challenge. Miners health is in danger mainly because of the emission of Toxic gases, insufficiency of oxygen and mine disasters. In this project we have designed a continuous monitoring system, which monitors the environmental parameters such as oxygen level and poisonous gases (methane, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide). It also measures the miner’s pulse rate, which is done by using the heart rate sensor. During the accidents, by using this device we get to know that how many miners are alive under the mine. This system uses Zigbee technology for wireless transmission. The parameters are detected continuously by various sensors, if any abnormal condition occurs the miner will get an alert through the buzzer present on the helmet. The values of different sensors are continuously transmitted by wireless transmitter to the remote monitoring unit which is placed outside the mine and received by the receiver module (PC).

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.

A. In the form of compensation Thinxtra are offering the value of $1,000 per annum in the form of
connectivity. (This is the commercial value of antenna equipment) or for Council to resell.
Topic: Non-Exclusivity
Q. Does Thinxtra need exclusive access to the site(s)?
A. We are not asking for exclusivity on the site(s). The Council is open to offering similar deals to other
network providers.
37. Topic: Interference
Q. What levels of interference is caused by Sigfox equipment for other network providers?
A. Sigfox technology is designed to and is known to play well with other networks meaning other networks
can be established and other network antennas can be placed nearby. Sigfox requires a small 2 meter
separation to other network technologies.
SMART COUNCILS FAQ DOCUMENT 3/4
Topic: Premium Traditional Sites
Q. Does Thinxtra / Sigfox require Premium high value traditional sites like those used by traditional
telecommunications providers for 3G / 4G?
A. Whilst premium sites are preferred, Thinxtra and Sigfox do not require the placement of our antennas at
typical sites normally associated with Cellular 3G/4G style locations.
Given the minimalist footprint (70cm tall) and weight (700grams) of our antenna and backhaul module we
can be located in positions equivalent to existing TV antennas in sites that would otherwise be unsuitable
for Cellular installation weighing upwards of 400kg.
38. SMART COUNCILS FAQ DOCUMENT 4/4
Topic: Licence Agreement.
Q. Why is a license agreement required?
A. Once the Sigfox network is installed and communities, businesses and Councils are relying on the
network we have a duty to provide a reliable service with minimal if any disruption to the up time of each
base station and this requirement is covered in the agreement. Additionally from a commercial perspective
in order to minimise the risk of the time effort and money required to complete the installation we are keen
to ensure that this investment stays in place for a minimal license period to avoid expensive relocation costs
without good reason.
Topic: Radio Frequency Exposure Levels
Q. How does Sigfox compare to other transmissions levels for other wireless networks?
A. Sigfox transmission power is 100 times less than a standard WiFi router. It is also worth noting that the
transmission only takes place 5% of the time as the base stations is predominantly is in listening mode.
