This document presents a thesis proposal for studying pro bono design practices. It lists 3 inspirational references and outlines the topic of studying current progress, successes and failures in pro bono design. The conceptual significance is to help designers and organizations effectively communicate and collaborate on pro bono projects. The hypothesis is that a recognized practice for pro bono design is needed for effective communication and collaboration between designers and organizations to achieve project success.
