This document outlines the thesis process for the Degree Programme in Social Services (A41DSS) curriculum at DIAK. It discusses that the thesis work must be oriented towards working life by connecting ideas and aims to DIAK projects and partnerships. The goal is for a process where service-users, professionals and citizens actively participate rather than being passive subjects. It describes the basics of the thesis process including choosing a topic connected to work life, conducting research, collecting data, and producing a project or product. It lists the parts of the thesis process as an idea paper, thesis proposal, and manuscript. Finally, it directs students to read a guide book on community-based participatory research and the bachelor's thesis process.
