Theodore Roosevelt National Park was established in 1947 in North Dakota's Badlands to honor Theodore Roosevelt who helped create more national parks than anyone else. The 70,466 acre park has a variety of terrain formed by erosion over time, offering scenic views and nearly 100 miles of trails. Visitors can see historic sites like the ranch and cabin where Roosevelt lived, and observe the park's diverse wildlife such as bison, deer, elk, and over 15 other species of animals and various plants.
