Yellowstone National Park is the largest national park in the world, covering parts of three U.S. states. It was established in 1872 to protect the large amount of beautiful wildlife and landscapes in the region, including geysers, rivers, lakes, and peaks over 11,000 feet high. The park faces challenges today of maintaining attraction and preservation efforts as visitor numbers have declined.
