The Dosewallips Road is washed out 5.5 miles from the ranger station, making the station unstaffed with no services available. There are 30 walk-in campsites with fire rings and picnic tables. Pets and bicycles are prohibited on trails and fires are banned above 3,500 feet. The Forest Service and National Park Service work together to protect the land despite having different mandates, as wildlife and ecosystems transcend boundaries.
