Theodore Roosevelt had a sickly childhood but grew up to become the 26th president of the United States known as a "trustbuster" and "Teddy." As president, he took actions to promote fairness such as extending the first dinner invitation to a black man at the White House and helped end the Russo-Japanese war through mediation. He also worked on land conservation and resolving international disputes over Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Morocco.
