God tells us in the Bible to be part of a church community. The book of Hebrews urges Christians to not neglect meeting together but to encourage and warn one another, especially as Jesus' return draws near. There are also seven practical reasons to be part of a church, such as having opportunities to love and serve others, participate in baptism and communion, and use spiritual gifts to strengthen the community. Ultimately, Christians are called to live in loving community as the body of Christ rather than alone.
What does Christian unity really look? Why is it needed? Is unity always good? This Bible study outlines what the Bible says about unity within the Body of Christ.
Christians have to walk in loving unity as a family of God if we want revival to land on us and stay with us. Disunity grieves the Holy Spirit very easily.

Heart4Worship is a different kind of church. We steer clear of labels, and are accepting of all Christians who believe in the Bible and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you are committed to your faith, then Heart4Worship welcomes you with open arms and open hearts.
Fellowship is one of those buzz Christian words. Churches have
fellowship halls, fellowship meetings, and times of fellowship. But what
do we mean?
The Greek word is koinonia, which translates as partnership. The origin
of the word is koinonos, which means partner, sharer, and companion. In
short, it is a shared community that involves deep, close-knit
participation among its people. The picture then is not of a surface-level,
friendly fellowship but of a radical and almost intimate unity. And this is
the consistent teaching of the New Testament. The first occurrence of
koinonia in the Bible comes in Acts 2:42. The newly baptized believers
“devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship
(koinonia), to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Luke comments that
they, “had everything in common” as they sold property to give to
anyone in need, gathered regularly in the temple courts, and ate joyfully
in their homes (Acts 2:43-47). This is far more than formal nominal
Christianity. This is the real deal. And it’s attractive because it’s so real. God has saved us to belong to his new family, and the mark of true
belonging is an active love which sacrificially serves.

THE ART OF EFFECTIVE CHURCH USHERING TRAINING MANUALAmb Steve Mbugua
This manual will help you build a great ushering, security, protocol, sanctuary keepers, hospitality and catering team.
Your ushers can make or break your worship service.
The difference between a grumpy, distracted, and untrained usher compared to a cheerful, engaged, and “serve you with a smile” usher is huge and the conversion from weak to a strong team will be made easier using this manual.
I’ve always loved the ushering team; it has always been one of my favorite ministries to lead.
The usher’s role is so important but often undervalued, under trained, and less than organized.
Your ushers are a tremendous force in setting the tone for worship and helping to prepare the people to hear and respond to the Word of God.
This manual will equip your team to serve with the right attitude, passion, love, wisdom, understanding, skills, revelation and spirit of excellence.

CFC, Christian Fellowship Church, Christian Fellowship Center, Christian Fellowship Centre
I want to focus on a few ideas 1) we needed each other, 2) we must learn to respect each other, and 3) we must learn to identify with each another; in other words, we need to learn to identify the value of others. SEE, PEOPLE ARE VALUABLE, BEAUTIFUL, AND NECESSARY.
The image of the body of Christ emphasizes unity in Christ while being interdependent on one another. Christian faith is not to be defined merely in terms of individual relationship to the Lord, but how the fellowship between believers magnifies the image of God. As the body of Christ, the church is the extension of Jesus’ ministry. All the various members have been given gifts, not for personal satisfaction, but for the building up of the body as a whole (14:4–5, 12). While there is diversity of gifts, there is not to be division within the body.
Each piece of the body has its own function, and each function is impacted by other parts. The heart pumps blood to areas in the body that it will never touch any other way. The hand will touch things that the foot will never feel, while the eye sees things that, without hands, it will never fully appreciate. Together the body functions and relates to each part and benefits from the function of each part. We enjoy life to the fullest because all our parts work together to allow us to partake in the world around us.
The body of Christ must be one, in harmony, united, and on one accord to maximize the impact we have on people, families, the church, our community, and ultimately the world. When the body is functioning at its best, the body is healthier, stronger, and more able to handle things that come its way.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

What Should be the Christian View of Anime?Joe Muraguri

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
15. 5. All of its members are allowed to
use their spiritual gifts to build it up.
16. 6. It’s members are diverse, but
unified under Christ as their head.
17. 7. It has leaders within it whose
job is to serve and protect.
18. 8. It incorporates elements of
communion and baptism,
worship, prayer, teaching,
community, and social service.
19. These are just some good indicators,
they aren’t complete or infallible.
God seems to have a lot of grace when it
comes to what is and isn’t a church.
20. Okay, so I have a pretty good idea of
what a church is now, but…
Why should I be
part of ?
21. 1 Really good reason to be part of a
church, and 7 pretty good ones.
22. 1 Really good reason
to be part of a church:
God tells us to in the Bible!
23. Hebrews 10:23-25
-So far Hebrews has been about…the Hebrews.
-About how Jewish customs and beliefs
foreshadowed Christ and were fulfilled by him.
-Hebrews 10: the need for sacrifice is fulfilled and
the new covenant is here because of Jesus.
- The author urges the reader to not let go of the
hope they have because of Christ.
24. Hebrews 10:23-25
“Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the
hope we say we have, for God can be
trusted to keep his promise. Think of ways to
encourage one another to outbursts of love
and good deeds. And let us not neglect our
meeting together, as some people do, but
encourage and warn each other,
especially now that the day of his coming
back again is drawing near.”
25. Hebrews 10:23-25
-The author of Hebrews, urges the reader to not
stop meeting with others, assembling together as a
group, but to “encourage and warn each other”.
- When we don’t meet as a church we miss out on
the possibility of encouragement in the story of
Jesus and warning about the dangers in life.
-Meeting with other Christians helps us from
backsliding.
27. 1. One way people “see” God in the
world is by Christian love for each other.
“No one has ever seen God. But if we
love each other, God lives in us, and his
love is brought to full expression in us.”
-1 John 4:12
28. 2. Metaphors for the church are collective:
-Body of Christ (1 Cor. 12, Eph. 4)
-Family of God (Eph. 2:19)
-House of God (Eph. 2:20)
-Temple of God (1 Cor. 3:16)
- Flock (1 Pet. 2:25, 5:2-4)
-”You are a chosen people, a royal
priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own
possession” (1 Pet. 2:9)
- Christ’s Bride (Eph. 5:22-32, Rev. 21)
You don’t see Christians talked about as a
group of individuals, but as a community.
29. 3. Jesus made it a habit of meeting with
people at the synagogue.
“When he came to the village of
Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as
usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath
and stood up to read the Scriptures.”
-Luke 4:16
30. 4. People need community, being part of
a church helps provide that.
“God said, "It is not good for the man to
be alone. I will make a companion who
will help him." -Gen 2:18
31. 5. Where else are you going to “one-
another” other believers, or use your gifts?
“Live in harmony with one another. Don’t be too
proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people.
And don’t think you know it all!”
–Rom. 12:16
“Since you are so eager to have the special
abilities the Spirit gives, seek those that will
strengthen the whole church.”
-1 Cor. 14:12
32. 6. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper can only be
done in a church community.
“ For you were buried with Christ when you were
baptized. And with him you were raised to new life
because you trusted the mighty power of God, who
raised Christ from the dead.” Col. 2:12
“This cup is the new covenant between God and his
people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do
this to remember me as often as you drink it.”
– 1 Cor. 11:25
Junior high pastor’s
communion elements.
33. 7. Jesus loves the church, a lot.
“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because
you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love,
following the example of Christ. He loved us and
offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma
to God.” – Eph. 5:1-2
“…just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life
for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the
cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to
himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle
or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and
without fault.” –Eph. 5:25-28
34. There are lots of other good reasons to
be part of a church…
Ultimately we have to come to a place
where in our freedom in Christ we bind
ourselves to others for their benefit, our
building up, and the purpose of God.
God didn’t call us out to live by
ourselves, but in community.
35. The church fails over
and over again…
But God loves her.
Shouldn’t we try to?
